Ban Gioc Waterfall: Its name comes from the Montagnard languages and
sometimes spelt as Ban Doc. Though not the highest, Ban Gioc Waterfall
is the largest fall in Vietnam. At the height of 53m and 300m wide, Ban
Gioc Waterfall has 3 layers and water from the peak create spectacular
scenery as well as merry booms and sounds that could be heard from
distance. Half of the pleasure is walking across paddy fields to reach
the base of the falls. There is no official border checkpoint at this
spot but a permit issued by the local police is required to visit Ban

Ba Be Lake The freshwater Lake Ba Be is the only significant natural
upland lake in the North of Viet Nam. From Thai Nguyen City, capital of
Bac Thai province, you drive along Highway 3 to the towns of Bac Can
and Phu Thong. After another 16 km you will arrive at Ba Be Lake which
is about 225 km from Hanoi. Ba Be is some 145m above sea level, 8 km
long, 3 km wide and about 20-30m deep.
The lakes actually consists of three lakes called Pe Lam, Pe Lu and Pe
Leng, and derives its name Ba Be (which in Vietnamese means Three Seas)
from this, Lake Ba Be is surrounded by limestone mountains and thick
forest, home to many species of rare birds and animals.
You can take a dugout canoe to visit the small islands of Po Ga Mai and
An Ma, and Puong Grotto. The Grotto, is about 300m long, and 30-40m in
height and width

Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Cao Bang ( B )
Am : 7h30 Depart for Cao Bang. Enjoy vietnamese rural life on the way. On the way stop for visit TamThanh grotte in Lang Son. Continue your trip to CaoBang with many stop over on the way: visit Tay village and meet Tay and Dzao people, taking photos, rural market.. Arrive at CaoBang. Overnight at hotel in Caobang.
Day 2: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc ( B )
Am: 8h00 Drive to visit Ban Gioc waterfalls, the highest and most spectacular in the area. Enjoy an imposing scene of Ban Gioc waterfalls. Visit Nguom Ngao Cave. Return to Cao Bang. Overnight in CaoBang.
Day 3: Cao Bang - Ba Be Lake ( B )
Am: 8h00 Depart for BaBe Lake, an mountain area, which is nearly 150 km far from CaoBang. Arrive on afternoon at ChoRa. Overnight in BaBe Hotel.
Day 4: Boat Trip on BaBe Lake ( B )
Am: Visit BaBe area : Nang river, grottos, waterfall. Visit ethnic village, namely PacNgoi, where visitors can get to know about Tay People. Enjoy daily meals of ethnic minorities. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 5 : Ba Be - Hanoi ( B )
Am : 8h00 Back to Hanoi. More stops on the way, visit more minority village. Stop in ThaiNguyen for visiting the Museum of Vietnam Minority People. Arrive Hanoi at 16h00. End tour
